Judge Lawson E. Thomas - Oral History Documentary

Judge Lawson E Thomas was the first black Judge in the South, and he was a visionary and inspirational figure who changed Miami in ways that we take for granted. By challenging and struggling against the segregated society of the 1950s, he changed things for the better and helped move Miami forward through a dark and horrible time in our history.

The Miami Museum of Contemporary Art of the African Diaspora is an organization that advocates and supports art, preserves history, and tells the stories of people from the African Diaspora. It was an honor, a pleasure, and an amazing learning experience to be the cinematographer for a documentary piece like this.
